Pierre-Antoine, Lecoutour currently works in the technical division at Aubert & Duval, based in Les Ancizes (France), as part of the customer technical support team. He is in charge of technical developments for the automotive and motorcycle racing sectors. With over 15 years of experience at Aubert & Duval, Lecoutour has expertise in steel metallurgy, particularly in the alloy design, characterization and optimization of alloy for high-performance low-alloyed steel or precipitation hardening steel. His expertise extends to heat treatment and thermochemical processes, particularly nitriding and carburizing, which are key to enhancing surface properties and durability of critical components. At the beginning of his career, Lecoutour was involved in the R&D alloy development team, where he worked on the development and optimization of new steel grades, focusing on chemical composition tuning, microstructural control and process adaptability to meet the evolving needs of critical sectors such as aeronautic, energy and defense. Lecoutour collaborates closely with customers and internal teams to solve technical challenges and improve product performance, particularly in motorsport and other demanding environments.
