Bassel Aslan received his M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France, in 2009, and his Ph.D. from École National Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers, France, in 2013. Since 2010, he has worked in the automotive industry and applied research, focusing on electric machines for hybrid and electric vehicles. In late 2014, he entered motorsport, leading the development of high-performance electric power units for Formula 1 (ERS system) and third-generation Formula E cars. He currently serves as Technical Director at MissionH24, where he oversees the development of hydrogen fuel cell–based electric racing solutions, preparing (with the ACO) the introduction of hydrogen technology into motorsport in line with the global energy transition.
