nexAMo (Next Generation Automotive Matrix Production) is a BMWK-funded initiative led by ZF Friedrichshafen to develop a modular, scalable production system for flexible, resource-efficient manufacturing. The €16 million project integrates additive manufacturing, AGVs, cobots, and digital workflows. Partners include Grenzebach, FEHRMANN MaterialsX, WENZEL Group, Fraunhofer IAPT, Nikon SLM, ERLAS, VisiConsult, Supfina, and RWTH Aachen FIR. Together, they aim to build a pilot line at ZF, enabling small and medium series production, enhancing supply chain resilience, and accelerating innovation. nexAMo positions ZF and its partners at the forefront of sustainable, adaptive manufacturing.
