Fortescue
Zero, Fortescue’s green technology arm, specialises in advanced engineering and
is a global forerunner in electrification and energy
storage. Fortescue Zero is creating the groundbreaking technologies
needed to accelerate the green transition and is proving that green energy
solutions are not only possible, but profitable. One such technology is
the 600kW Pit Boost ultra-fast charging units that debuted in the Formula E
World Championship earlier this year. The technologies being designed for motorsport
can be adapted and used on our mining operations in Western Australia to smooth
our pathway to decarbonisation, as well as helping Fortescue to achieve its
industry leading target of Real Zero by 2030.
