HydroTeam KU Leuven
HydroTeam KU Leuven is a student engineering team from KU Leuven, Belgium, building hydrogen-powered race cars with one clear goal: racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans by 2030.

More than 100 students and alumni work on the project, supported by partners such as Ford, Atlas Copco and Air Products. Our first prototype, V0, runs a converted Ford 3.5L V6 on gaseous hydrogen, with 2.4 kg of H2 stored at 700 bar and 150 hp. It has already driven a demo lap at Le Mans.

We are now designing V1: a Ford Mustang-based car with a hydrogen-fuelled 3.5L EcoBoost V6, developed season by season through demo laps, record attempts and selected race events.

At PMW we want to meet companies working on hydrogen, powertrain, simulation and motorsport technology. Visit stand 5106 to see our car and talk about collaboration.
