UFI brings advanced filtration expertise to the world of motorsport
At the
heart of UFI’s motorsport activities is the UFI Advanced Applications
Division, the company’s specialised unit dedicated to developing filtration
solutions for highly demanding applications. Its expertise combines advanced
engineering, continuous research and a tailor-made approach to meet the
specific requirements of racing.
Today, UFI
filtration technologies compete across some of the world’s most prestigious
motorsport championships. UFI has been supplying Formula 1 since 1977
and, for the 2026 season, is chosen by all 11 teams. Beyond Formula 1, UFI’s
expertise extends across the international racing landscape, from Formula 2 and
Formula 3 to INDYCAR and NASCAR, as well as closed-wheel
competitions including the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), IMSA and
DTM. Its motorsport presence also extends to the Dakar Rally and
motorcycle racing, including MotoGP, Moto2, Moto3 and SBK.
For UFI,
motorsport represents much more than competition. It is a demanding
technological environment where solutions are challenged under extreme
operating conditions, accelerating innovation and strengthening the
Group’s engineering expertise.
This
experience also creates a valuable connection between racing and the automotive
world. Knowledge and technologies can move in both directions,
contributing to a continuous exchange between motorsport development and UFI’s
broader research and innovation activities.
With
decades of experience at the highest levels of competition, UFI continues to
see motorsport as a key technology laboratory, where advanced engineering and
innovation are constantly put to the test.
