RX Carbon has developed a Toyota GR Yaris rear wing entirely in-house, combining WRC-inspired styling with aerodynamic wing profiles and bio-based composite materials.

The project began with a 3D scan of the vehicle, providing the foundation for the wing’s design and engineering. From the initial scan to manufacturing the finished component, the complete development process was carried out by the RX Carbon team.

Designed for applications including rallycross, rally prototypes, time attack and road cars, the wing brings motorsport-inspired design to the GR Yaris platform.

Exploring Bio-Based Composites

The wing is manufactured using flax-fibre prepreg supplied by Bcomp. The project explores the potential of bio-based composites in motorsport and their use in complex aerodynamic components.

By bringing vehicle scanning, composite design, engineering and manufacturing together in one project, the GR Yaris rear wing showcases RX Carbon’s in-house development capabilities and ongoing work with innovative materials.
