PLEX shows new Power & Control modules at PMW Expo 2026
At PMW Expo in Cologne on 11–12 November we’ll show two new modules for the first time: the PDM-38 power distribution module and the MCM-10 motor control module. Both will be on our stand in Hall 10.1, Booth 5064, with the rest of our Power & Control range.
PDM-38
The PDM-38 is a high-capacity solid-state PDM for larger race cars and prototypes, with more loads than the PDM-13 was built to cover. It will have 38 outputs, 12 inputs and 200 A of total continuous capacity.
The high-side outputs are 16 × 5 A, 8 × 15 A that can be grouped up to 60 A, 4 × 15 A PWM and 2 × 45 A PWM. The PWM outputs have soft start and a selectable frequency of 10, 20, 25, 40, 50, 100 or 200 Hz. There are also 8 half-bridges, 6 × 30 A and 2 × 15 A, with PWM up to 10 kHz. Two half-bridges can be combined into one full bridge, so the PDM-38 will also drive DC motors and actuators.
Inrush ratings are 10 A on the 5 A outputs, 30 A on the 15 A outputs (120 A combined when grouped) and 90 A on the 45 A outputs. The inputs are 4 × 0–5 V analog/digital/frequency with selectable 3.3 kΩ pull-up, 2 × 0–5 V analog/digital and 6 × 0–16 V analog/digital. It will have two CAN FD buses (250 kbit–5 Mbit) and one LIN bus.
PDM-13
The PDM-13 has been shipping since May. It’s ultra-compact: 54 × 80 × 34 mm and 215 g, in a CNC-machined, IP67 aluminium enclosure, with 13 high-side outputs and 100 A of total capacity. At that size it can be mounted close to the loads it feeds. One unit runs a motorcycle. In a car, several can be spread around the chassis instead of running every circuit back to one central box, and some of our customers already run four in one car.
MCM-10
The MCM-10 is a dedicated motor and actuator controller. It will have 75 A of total capacity across 4 half-bridges (2 × 30 A and 2 × 15 A, which can be combined into full bridges), 4 full bridges (2 × 8 A and 2 × 5 A) and 4 × 5 A high-side outputs for small loads. The bridge outputs will switch at up to 10 kHz. It will have one CAN FD bus (250 kbit–5 Mbit) and one 0–16 V input. It’s meant to work alongside a PDM-13 in a distributed layout, mounted close to the motors it drives.
EXP-Boost and PBC PRO V2 Kit
The EXP-Boost and the PBC PRO V2 Kit will also be on the stand. We’ve been building boost controllers for more than seventeen years, and both now handle power and actuators as well as boost. The EXP-Boost is a compact, display-free module. Its four high-power outputs are shared between boost solenoids and other loads such as pumps, fans, water injection or blow-off valves, and its two H-bridge outputs drive electric wastegates or DC motors directly.
The PBC PRO V2 Kit uses the EXP-Boost as its engine-side module, linked over one CAN connection to a 2.8" touchscreen in the cabin. The Plus version adds logging, GNSS lap timing, a performance meter, a 6-axis IMU and 3D boost-target correction.
All of these products are configured in PLEX Device Manager 2.0, the same software as the rest of our range.
The PDM-38 and MCM-10 specifications are preliminary and may change before release. Pricing and availability will follow after the show. To arrange a meeting on the stand, email sales@plex-tuning.com.
