Electric Axle for Elite Racing Performance and Efficiency
)
The REA (Racing Electrical Axle) represents a cutting-edge, fully electric axle designed for elite racing applications. This ultra-compact assembly integrates the following subsystems:
-
MGU (Motor Generator Unit): A direct oil-cooled unit.
-
MCU (Motor Control Unit): An EDI Power Pack responsible for MGU control.
-
GBX Reducer: Equipped with an Active Differential.
-
Cooling System: Manages both water and oil cooling.
The MGU is a high-speed, three-phase synchronous machine with permanent magnets, utilizing direct oil-cooling technology. This system, complemented by a high-performance rotor array and ultra-thin stator steel lamination, achieves remarkable power density, making it ideal for racing and heavy-duty applications.
The MCU functions as a bi-directional AC/DC power converter, capable of driving the three-phase MGU. Its power stage is founded on a proprietary Two Level Full SIC Mosfet Power Module, incorporating the patented EDI (Enhanced Direct-cooling Inverter) Power Module cooling technology. The control section is outfitted with advanced hardware and software resources to ensure high-efficiency motor drive.
The GBX system features a high-efficiency, single-ratio oil-lubricated reducer, paired with a hydraulic active differential that actively modulates locking torque.
Heat management is handled by an active cooling system, efficiently dissipating heat through a main water-cooled setup directly connected to the car's radiator.
This innovative blend of electrification technologies underscores a commitment to excellence in high-end motorsport applications.
