Autoclave-free composite curing makes its PMW Expo debut
HONPE ProtoTec, a specialist in prototype and low-volume production for motorsport, will present the Composite Toaster from MICADO at PMW Expo 2026. The system brings direct, PID-controlled heating to composite tooling, concentrating energy at the mould rather than heating a complete autoclave. It is designed for controlled curing of composite components up to 200°C.
A central master module can be expanded with up to four 10 kW slave modules, providing up to 43 kW total output. Each module offers six individually controllable heating circuits, with temperature feedback and optional tool-cavity pressure monitoring. Programmable multi-stage heating, holding and cooling profiles support repeatable processes, while logged user, time, temperature and pressure data provide traceability for development and quality work.
For motorsport and high-performance vehicle programmes, the Composite Toaster supports rapid tooling trials, prototype parts and small-series composite production without reliance on a conventional autoclave.
HONPE ProtoTec will also present the ALPIKE foldable carbon scooter. Visitors can meet racing driver Maxim Felix Dacher at an autograph session at the HONPE ProtoTec stand.
